John Muroski is a 3rd year PhD student in the Biochemistry, Molecular and Structural Biology (BMSB) program. He works under Dr. Joe Loo currently studying the use of mass spectrometry to analyze post-translational modifications in bacterial systems. He received his B.S. in Biochemistry from the University of Rochester, where his research primarily focused on bacterial genetics. Over the years, he has been a TA and mentor to many students helping facilitate their desire and passion for research. In the future, John hopes to work for either the CDC or FDA working on science policy.
